Rubén is a PhD student in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. He is part of the REWATERGY Programme, a Marie Curie European Industrial Doctorate Training Network. Rubén has a chemical and energy engineer background (Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain) and has industrial experience working as an Oil & Gas consultant (Indra, Spain).
His PhD is in collaboration with the Spanish company Aqualia. His research is focused on the development of a new sustainable process for removing urea from wastewater using adsorption technology and its valorisation as a source of energy.
