Professor Laura Torrente Murciano is the Head of the Catalysis and Process Integration Group and brings over a decade of experience in academic and research environments. As group leader, she has strategically structured and led the formation of two key research sub-groups: Ammonia and Nanoparticles.
Professor Torrente Murciano demonstrates exceptional project management skills, effectively guiding research initiatives that contribute significantly to the advancement of chemical engineering. She has cultivated a diverse, multicultural working environment that fosters the professional growth of both researchers and students.
Highly engaged in the technological development and strategic direction of her group’s projects, she maintains active involvement through regular meetings and close collaboration with team members. Her academic contributions span the areas of reaction engineering, nanoparticles, heterogeneous catalysis, and green chemistry.
Her research has been published in high-impact journals including Nature Synthesis, Chemical Engineering Journal, The Journal of Physical Chemistry, Advanced Optical Materials, Water Research, Chemistry – A European Journal, and Advanced Energy Materials.
